Magnetic Incremental
Non-contact magnetic measurement with standard 5 µm resolution in 4x mode and published repeatability of ±5 µm.
OPKON Linear Scale Partner
Magnetic linear encoders for press brakes, with application review and replacement matching for many Heidenhain, Givi Misure and other incremental linear-scale systems.
Press Brake Position Feedback
The OPKON MPS is a non-contact magnetic incremental encoder developed for press-brake applications. Branin Automation helps identify the required stroke, resolution, output, voltage, reference signal, connector and mounting arrangement before a replacement is ordered.
Replacement Scale Applications
OPKON scales can often provide a replacement path for Heidenhain, Givi Misure and other incremental linear scales. A reliable replacement requires confirmation of the complete electrical and mechanical configuration—not only the overall length.
Replacement suitability must be verified for the specific machine, control and original scale. Brand names are referenced only to describe potential replacement applications; OPKON products are not represented as universal drop-in replacements.
MPS Technical Overview
The correct configuration is selected around the original machine feedback requirements.
Non-contact magnetic measurement with standard 5 µm resolution in 4x mode and published repeatability of ±5 µm.
Available selections include 2.5, 5, 10, 12.5, 20 and 25 µm in 4x mode, depending on configuration.
Standard TTL and line-driver configurations, with high line-driver and push-pull options available.
Standard 5 VDC supply with an optional wider 8–24 VDC supply range.
DB9 cable arrangements and an M16 eight-pin round connector option are documented in the product literature.
IP65 construction, operating temperature from −20°C to +80°C and displacement speed below 3 m/s.
Application and Installation Support
Branin Automation can help evaluate the existing scale, confirm the required OPKON configuration, review wiring information and support installation or machine calibration as required.
Send clear photographs of the original scale and label, the machine model and serial number, control model, scale stroke and total length, connector photos, wiring diagrams, and any available original datasheet.
